Principle Introduction
Thermal paper has a similar appearance to ordinary white paper, with a smooth surface. It is made of ordinary paper as the paper base and coated with a layer of thermal coloring layer. The coloring layer is composed of adhesive, color developer, and colorless dye, and is not separated by microcapsules. The chemical reaction is in a “latent” state. When the thermal printing paper encounters a heated print head, the color developer and colorless dye at the printed area of the print head undergo a chemical reaction and change color.
Basic model
The commonly used 57 and 80 types on the market refer to the width or height of paper. When choosing a thermal printer, it is recommended to select the appropriate printing paper based on the size of the paper compartment. If the paper compartment is too large, it cannot be inserted, and if it is too small, it needs to be replaced frequently.
Selection method
1. Choose the width of the paper according to the required bill width
2. Select the paper roll with verified thickness based on the size of the paper bin
3. Purchase thermal paper of different colors according to color requirements
4. The printing surface is smooth, flat, and delicate with good quality
5. The thickness of the paper should be chosen to be thinner, as paper thickness can easily cause paper jams and unclear printing
6. Storage should avoid high temperature, high humidity, chemical contact, etc. as much as possible to prevent failure
