(I) Production principle
The production principle of thermal cash register paper is to apply microparticle powder on ordinary paper base, which is composed of colorless dye phenol or other acidic substances, separated by a film. Under heating conditions, the film melts and the powder mixes to react with color. Specifically, thermal cash register paper is generally divided into three layers. The bottom layer is the paper base. After the ordinary paper is subjected to corresponding surface treatment, it is prepared for the adhesion of heat-sensitive substances. The second layer is the thermal coating. This layer is a combination of various compounds. Common colorless dyes are mainly triphenylmethanephthalide system crystal violet lactone (CVL), fluorane system, colorless benzoyl methylene blue (BLMB) or spiropyran system and other chemical substances; common color developers are mainly para-hydroxybenzoic acid and its esters (PHBB, PHB), salicylic acid, 2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid or aromatic sulfone and other chemical substances. When heated, the colorless dye and the color developer affect each other to form a color tone. The third layer is a protective layer, which is used to protect the text or pattern from being affected by the outside world.
(II) Main features
Uniform color: Thermal cash register paper can ensure uniform color distribution during printing, making the printed content clear and readable. Good quality thermal cash register paper has the characteristics of uniform color, good smoothness, high whiteness, and a little green. If the paper is very white, then the protective coating and thermal coating of the paper are unreasonable, and too much fluorescent powder is added.
Good smoothness: The smooth surface of the paper not only improves the printing quality, but also reduces the occurrence of printer jams.
Long shelf life: Under normal circumstances, the writing on the thermal cash register paper can be kept for several years or even longer. However, it is necessary to avoid direct sunlight, high temperature, humidity and other environments to avoid affecting the storage time. For example, good quality cash register paper can even be kept for four to five years.
No printing consumables are required: Thermal cash register paper does not use carbon ribbons, ribbons or ink cartridges during use, which reduces the cost of use and reduces environmental pollution.
Fast printing speed: Thermal technology can achieve high-speed printing, reaching dozens to hundreds of sheets per minute. This makes it widely used in places such as retail and catering where quick settlement is required.
Various specifications: Thermal cash register paper has a variety of specifications and sizes to meet the needs of different printers and usage scenarios. Common specifications include 57×50, 57×60, 57×80, 57×110, 80×50, 80×60, 80×80, 80×110, etc. It can also be processed into other specifications according to the special needs of different industries.
